Nasi lemak is definitely one of the yummy food that I miss whenever I'm away from this country. And, to be honest, the very local flavor isn't easy to find anywhere else other than this homeland. If you're familiar with the Bangsar Telawi area, you should know that there's this famous nasi lemak which is also known as 'Nasi Lemak Famous' which is located at this humble spot in the Telawi food court. However, despite of how humble it looks, it's not entirely cheap - you would still pay RM7, if you're getting a nasi lemak with fried chicken and fried egg. Of course, looking at the portion and the price, I'd say that it's still fair. But, do not expect to get a super deal here. After all, this place is famous for their yummy food that you can get to fix your late night craving - that's what I always do. The crowd here at late night is not small either - even when it's already 10 at night, you will still see the tables being occupied here with people digging in their coconut milk rice - a.k.a the supper culture. That being said, it's still hard to get a parking spot here even at this hour. Of course, if you don't mind paying a little for the parking, you could get into the mall parking area. One thing though, do remember that this is a food court, so what you can expect is the TV playing movie loudly and people chatting away happily. Not the fine dining experience for sure, but it's a place that I always like to visit at night!

Besides being a total prick for calling themselves the Famous-est of all Nasi Lemaks, Nasi Lemak Famous actually serves, well, famous nasi lemak, with its reputation preceding even its biggest competitors like Village Park. The secret, of course, lies in their extremely famous fried chicken. The famous fried chicken is famously fried with the same oil used to fry famous fried chicken, and with its famous fragrant rice coupled with their famous sambal, it is no wonder that this particular restaurant is so famous for its famous nasi lemak. Perhaps the only weakness is its not-so-hygienic environment, but then again, with such famous nasi lemak, you will willingly sit down and enjoy a nice plate of famous nasi lemak with its famous unhygienic environment. I kid, I kid. Perhaps I may have overstated a few things a little bit, but what is there to say when the nasi lemak, which is famous for its famous taste, speaks for itself?

So my friend came back from Australia and its tradition that we eat nasi lemak near his place. The day he left we also visited the same place, that's how good the food is. Even though it was raining that night, nothing could stop from getting a meal of nasi lemak. Thanks to the parousels to keep us in shade we are able to enjoy our food. The sambal is as delicious as always. A touch of a little sweetness surrounded by spicyness along with their crispy and tender fried chicken. On top of that, they do serve seperate dishes of tempe goreng which is mouth-watering good, fried egg, sambal potatoes and many more. For a really reasonable price, you are able to indulge yourselves in one of the best.nasi lemaks in town!

To me there really is nothing more Malaysian than Nasi Lemak, and having eaten more than my fair share of Nasi Lemak throughout the years, I unbashfully proclaim myself an unofficial Nasi Lemak Connoisseur if there ever was one. To me what honestly stands out for Nasi Lemak famous is not its extremely satisfying chunks of well-seasoned, rempah infused, golden brown fried chicken, nor its fragrant coconut rice. Delicious, no doubt but then again so are the thousands of other Nasi Lemak stalls that are scattered across the nation. What really makes Nasi Lemak Famous, well famous is the price. A regular Nasi Lemak Ayam, with a fried egg will only set you back RM6. Be wary don't overdo your sides, especially the sotong or that famous price won't look so pretty at the end of the meal.
